Kathi asked Where is the fuse on a trane t8011r thermostat?
Prior to switching from heat to cool, my thermostat read 82. After I switched to cool, no numbers show up. I did everything the owners manual suggested in troubleshooting except check the fuse. Is that the little silver thing on the bottom right on the inside of the face of the thermostat? If so, how do you know if it is blown or not? How do,you get it out? Any help would be appreciated. It's hot in Ohio!
And got the following answer:
the fuse is in your furnace / air handler on the circuit board, its usually a 2.5 or 5amp (car) fuse. Check your condenser for problems with the wiring first. Just open the cover and check for problems. make sure you shut off the main 208v power supply first. I'm sure you will find your problem.
