Kels C. asked What are the best kinds of makeup for me?
I don't have much time in the morning to put on makeup, so I want some good products that are relatively cheap and are fast to put on-5 to 10 minutes tops. I want a good mascara that won't put too much on, and won't clump and require me to fix it. Basically one that will go on right the first time, and which is kind of subtle, if you know what I mean. I want some kind of coverup...right now i'm using covergirl original pressed powder on my face, and that's all. I'd like to try something else to better match my skin and help cover up a scar on my face. I also want to know the best colors of eyeshadow to use...My skin is fair and my eyes are blue. I have brown-blonde hair and I wear glasses, with the possibility of switching to contacts soon. I want some kind of eyeliner-I'm not a fan of liquid, because it looks too overdone on me. I want to try Wetslicks gloss by covergirl, but I'm not sure what shade I should get. Would "guava splash" look good with my skintone? Also, I have normal skin. It's not too dry, not too oily. Sometimes it gets dry but I just use some lotion and it's fine. Also, I live nowhere near any specialty makeup stores, so these products will have to be from places like walmart, etc. I like covergirl products. I'm looking for specific products.
And got the following answer:
i know how u feel coz im exactly the same!! haha ok anyways, back to your question, i dont think u should use mascara, first of all becoz u wear glasses and it would scratch your glasses and mostly mascara can get messy and lumpy and needs to be fix and it melts when you sweat.. but if u really want it, i suggest you use waterproof mascara, they dont melt, and is easy to apply and rarely gets lumpy.. thats the kind i use but they arent from walmart, and i dont know where to suggest u to get it.... sry on that for eyeshadow, u said u have brown - blonde hair, u should try gold.. the glittery kind, or baby blue.. black would work if u want a dramatic look on your eyes for eye liner, i agree, u should not use the liquid kind becoz if u mess it, most of the time it takes time to fix and u would need make up remover. so i suggest u use black eyeliner if u want a dark look, and brown for a lighter look and would match your skin tone more... use the kind that needs sharping is better becoz if u want a thinner line, u can sharpen the eye liner for a thinner line, and if u want a thicker line, tilt the tip of the eye liner i think cover up is not nessecary, but if u want to, use the powder kind by cover girl that u can get at walmart. Choose the lighter color if u want a lighter look, but if u want to be a bit tan, choose a color, 1 or 2 tone darker then your skin tone. im not sure about guave splash, but use a shiny lip gloss that is not too watery so to save your time and would fit in your time limit, use eye liner and eye shawdow and a bit of cover up. i hope this help, im not an expert on make up, but these tips r form my own experience.
