swami asked Where can i buy power cords to my lacie external hard drive?
I have a lacie external hard drive model number 301825u, and a lacie model number 301033u. i need the cords to power them and no stores in my city sells them or lacie hard drives anymore. where can i buy them from? please help, all my files are on these hard drives and i lost them due to moving.
And got the following answer:
There are still lots of people selling laCie hard drives all over the place - so there is obviously an active US distributor. You can probably buy a power supply from someone else. Do you still have the manual for the drives? Or at a minimum, look at the little hole in the case where the power supply plugs in. It should says 120/240V Input and then some number of Volts output - it could be 10, 12, or even 24 volts output. And it will say the number of amps. So hypothetically you would be looking for a 120 Volt input with 10 volt output at 1.5 amps. Then go to a site like Jameco Electronics and find a power adapter. But you need to be a little more informative about your voltage needs, and then it will be easy to find a supplier.
