I want to remove cruise control switches from the steering wheel. Did remove the two screws from back of steering wheel and disarmed the airbag system. Do these switches pull out from the side or pop out from the front of the steering wheel? Hayes manual does not give instructions on how to remove these switches. Any help greatly appreciated.
And got the following answer:
Since you already have disabled the air bag, remove the airbag and the wiring for the switches should be apparent. I have a similar system on my Caravan and have the Haynes manual as well with not explanation on the switches in the steering wheel. Just go through the instructions for taking off the steering wheel. Remove the airbag by pulling it out of the steering wheel. Just to be safe, disconnect the battery and double check that you have disabled the airbag.
