Honey boo boo asked Are there any good running apps you'd recommend?
Like it measures the distance you've ran and stuff ...one where it doesn't need internet connection.. its for my iPod.. thanks!
And got the following answer:
Depends on your iPod, I'm guessing you have an iPod touch since the nano doesn't really have apps and you didn't say iPhone. Since the touch doesn't have a GPS you have to satisfy your self with a foot pod. Your best bet is the nike + sensor. You won't need to buy the receiver. Just the sensor. Once you put the sensor on the shoe and turn on the app the rest is automatic. Nike is still finishing up a big overhaul on their website but even so they have the niftiest web site. Another good app is Interval Run. Its an really good programable interval timer. It even comes with a number of workouts preprogrammed. oh and if you do have a nano, the nike sensor still works with it but you have to buy the receiver for it. They sell is as a kit.
