Redhead asked Any tattoo artists have an opinion on the PS15T power supply with foot switch and clip cord?
I need to buy a power supply for my tattoo machine but I don't want to spend a lot. Anyone know anything about this power supply?
And got the following answer:
Here is my two cents. Not sure if you are a professional working out of a shop or a scratcher....so that would depend on where you could purchase equipment since most legitimate tattoo equipment companies require a license. I am not familiar with the power supply you are asking about nor do I know how much you want to spend. But.... A power supply is a very important function of doing a good tattoo. You need to have one that is consistent and allows for tuning and preferably fine tuning so that your machine is consistent as well. The ability to fine tune is also important to achieve certain tattoo techniques. The power supply I use is made by National Tattoo Supply. It is the OT-82 and for $140 i got it and the clip cord/foot switch. It has worked great for me and I have had no problems with it. Equipment choice of course is always up for debate everybody has their own preferences. But this is a great power supply and in my opinion reasonably priced. Hope this helps.
