My Camera is a Canon G1 (if that means anything) I know nothing about cameras... ha,ha. Anyway I want the camera to take the picture by it self like on a setting. It's for group pictures when you don't have anyone to take it for you. My camera has done it before but I for got how to do it again! Can you halp me?
And got the following answer:
That is a very sturdy camera you have... Canon G series is already on its 9th version... Canon G1 have a wireless remote controller but if you have lost it there is a a Continuos Drive/Self-Timer/Wireless Controller button on the top of the camera, just choose the setting on the self timer (the one that shows a clock) When set to the Self-Timer/Wireless mode, the camera displays the standard self-timer icon (a clock counting down) in the LCD display, and the self-timer icon with a remote (radar) symbol in the LED panel on top of the camera. When in Self-Timer mode, depressing the shutter button activates a 12-second countdown, during which a bright blue lamp on the camera's front panel blinks, gaining speed in the last two seconds. If the camera's Beep function is turned on in the Set-up menu, you will also hear the beep counting down. While in Self-Timer mode, you can also trigger a two-second countdown by pressing the shutter button on the remote control.
