luther asked Whirlpool gas clothes dryer question?
The model is LGR6634DQO. When I turn the timer switch to the desired program/minutes it does not rotate back to the off position; it does not rotate at all. The drum turns, the gas valve does not release any gas and the electronic igniter does not glow. A faulty timer switch? I can't trouble shoot that; I don't have a wiring diagram. I am going to check the thermostat ,high limit switch and fuse in the morning. Do you have any advice, expertise or where I can get an electrical diagram for this model dryer?
And got the following answer:
I am not sure that the diagram will help much, since everything plugs into a microprocessor board on newer dryers. They usually have error codes if you know how to retrieve them. I don't know on that model. I would look at the igniter and check the voltage going to it and it's resistance when it is out of the circuit. Here is the best place to find appliance repair information on the Web, you can request a diagram there: http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?topic=9925.0 Use the forum, not the "Parts and Diagrams" search box. I believe the timer motor gets it's power from the control board directly, and if it is not advancing, the board has stopped it, for what ever reason.
