I have created a 555 timer circuit that activates for 60 seconds when the switch is activated and then turns off. It works fine for a 12v circuit. the output of the 555 timer will have to go to a transistor. the transistor will provide enough current to actuate a 12v relay. the video signal will go through the output legs of the relay. there are several different types of relays you can use. the only problem i can think of is that noise may be introduced into the video signal.
